Why can't I find a book in BookFlix?+
BookFlix is a reading app, not a bookstore. Most books are under copyright, and we don't have the rights to host them. You can read any book you own as a DRM-free EPUB: import it from Library → Import your books. We also host 60+ public-domain classics you can read for free.
Where do I get EPUB files?+
Look for "DRM-free" on the store page. Many indie authors and small presses sell EPUBs directly. For classics, Project Gutenberg and Standard Ebooks are free.
Can I import my Kindle, Apple Books or Google Play Books purchases?+
Not directly. Those books are locked with DRM, so only the store's own app can open them. Books you bought DRM-free, or EPUBs an author sent you, import fine. You can pick several at once, or a whole folder.
Is BookFlix free?+
Reading, importing, highlights, stats, streaks, clubs and the free classics are free. Premium ($4.99/month) adds BookFlix AI (Ask AI, recaps, characters) and 50 credits a month. Credits pay for Ask AI questions and Listen narration.
My sign-in link didn't work+
Open the link on the same phone where you asked for it. If it opens in your browser, tap Open BookFlix. Each link works once and expires after a while; if it still fails, go back to the app and tap Resend link.
Common Questions
How do I cancel my subscription?+
iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → BookFlix → Cancel Subscription. Android: Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BookFlix → Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I delete my account?+
Go to BookFlix → Profile → Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your data from our servers within 30 days. You can also email us and we will handle it for you.
My purchase isn't showing up. What do I do?+
Go to BookFlix → Profile → Settings → Restore Purchases. If the issue persists, email us with your Apple ID and we'll sort it out.
Can I read on multiple devices?+
Yes. Sign in with the same Google or Apple account on each device and your library, progress, and highlights will sync automatically.
How do I add a book using the barcode scanner?+
Tap the + button on your shelf, choose "Scan Barcode," and point your camera at the ISBN barcode on the back of the book. BookFlix looks up the title automatically.
I found a bug. How do I report it?+
Email us at hello@bookflix.app with a short description and, if possible, a screenshot. We read every report.
